Google Sued for $5 Billion In Privacy Lawsuit
If you thought using an "incognito" browser protected your privacy, think again. The lawsuit, which seeks at least $5 billion in damages, alleges GOOGLE's Alphabet, Inc. unit surreptitiously acquires users' viewing and browsing information, even when using what Google calls "Incognito mode."
The complaint claims Google gathers data through Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager and other applications and website plug-ins, including smartphone apps. This allowed it to acquire sensitive information, such as each users' friends, hobbies, shopping habits, and everything they search for online.
